Default New in the DC area

I bought my 05 a little over a year ago. It's kind of funny because in case you couldn't tell from my username, I'm really a motorcycle person. I've done VIR North, but on an 03 SV650 (retired WERA race bike). My street ride is a 99 Ducati Monster 900s. I know something about motors just from working on my bikes, but I know zero about cars at all. With my warranty rapidly approaching expiration, I figured I better start learning about this wild and wooly world of four wheels!

Welcome to the board and the area. You should find alot of information to get you started around here. Keep a lookout for local meets, so you can meet up with people with useful experience and info... and some useless ones. BTW, VIR-N > VIR-Full. I can't get enough of the cut through, aka Steve Wonders.

Welcome to the board man. Make sure you check out the Mid Atlantic section on our board for local meets/events. Theres nothing better than a Ducati IMO. DC auto show this weekend also FYI.

I have no idea what T4 would look like in a cage. This is what it looked like on 2 wheels:

Ok, so the photographer caught me when I was really goobering it, but don't mind me! Someday when I have much more disposable income than I have now, I'll make the cage dance on the track. Until then, the bikes bleed the wallet dry.

FYI, this is the other way you'll see me when it gets a bit warmer:

Put the left wheels another foot to the inside and setup for T5 and you should be golden.

But then again, I've only ran on VIR 3x, so don't mind me.

WELCOME! bikes and cars.. man if you are like us you must live in a cardboard box to be able to afford both obsessions! You are even a track star as well, so I'm really happy! I love the SV650, i used to hang out on the wera forum years ago when i wanted to start racing bikes... but bought a car instead They are a bunch of great guys/gals and some of their stories are really... umm interesting!

some other DC forums are dcsportbikes.com and dcawd.com the later has great people, and I'd assume the same with the bike forum. Well i hope you enjoy!
