understood, like the EVO.

But in this case? There is alot of engine for the air to blow past before it makes that scoop.

yep, that's why i said very effective right behind the rad. not too sure how well they work on our whips. however, they may be good at pulling out hot turbo air, and generally giving the bay air better flow and a place to go...

O.k. guys,<O</O
<O</O
Last night I but my car on the Dyno for tuning. I was happy with the numbers, and was happy with my new FMIC.( to be honest not to mush… I have lag now, need a bigger turbo)<O</O
<O</O
Any ways, the reason why I was happy is the IAT was reading 31c the out said air was 32c” aprx”. And when I got out of the car and touched the pipe going to the TB it was cool hooooot just over the turbo. The pipe was cool 10” from the turbo.<O</O
<O</O
My theory,<O</O
<O</O
If I install this part it will make the pipe even more hotter … It will drag all the hot air threw the pipe and make them more hot.<O</O
<O</O
If I keep it as is cooled air will come in and cool the pipes from the front scoop.<O</O
<O</O
I think we need NASA air

it would be a great service if you could test and find out. buy the reverse hoodscoop and measure iat's and other bay temps before and after install. if it helps, great. you will also be helping us. if it doesn't help, resell it and recoup most of your cost...

my theory is that it would help evacuate hot air rather than the scoop which now forces cool air into the bay (where does it go?).

i'll do a little searching and see if somebody already tested one.
