alright, well i gave it another shot on the 06, but i dont think it can be done. first, the lights are grouped in pairs, meaning the bottom two lights use one type of bulb, and the top two lights use another type of bulb. on the 06 - just so everyone knows and my post will make sense - the lights are arranged as follows: top outside = brake light; top inside = rear light (on only when lights are on and it dims when brakes are hit); bottom outside = turn signal; bottom inside = reverse. what i wanted to do was take the orange bulb from the turn signal, put it into the "rear light," and move that into the lower inside position; i think it would look good too because this position has a circlular housing, and with the orange light, it would glow in a circular pattern. this cant be done however, since the bulbs arent compatible. i wanted to move the turn signal into the top outside position (they would still be red because of the color of housing). the brake light into the top inside position. and finally, the reverse light (still white) into the bottom outside. but i cant do it with these particular bulbs. i might try searching for colored bulbs to fit, but right now, im bored with it. and i skipped class for no tangible result. on the plus side, the harness was long enough to any possible swap, but the actual pattern of the base of the light (the part that rotates into the housing, almost threading in), is also different from top to bottom. any ideas???

Take a picture of the bulb/socket, as well as their respective slots. The bulbs maybe different but if the sockets are the same then it can fit in either slots.
I hope that makes sense.

ill take some pics tommorow. i had an idea of simply cutting all of the wires running to the sockets, move the orange light to the inside lower position, and then reconnect the wire in the order that i want. that way, i only have to move two of the sockets around, and then i can just connect the wire to the position i want. that make sense??

i did my 05 tonight, its a pain in the but. On the passanger side the wires will not reach. I had to splice the wire to make it work. Do not try unless your good at playing with wiring. -Joe

I did mine tonight and did not need to splice any wire. If you just flip the harness around if gives you enough wire, im not saying that it's not tight because it is pretty tight. But it is do able. I may cut some of the factory heatshrink tomorrow or this weekend to give it a little more room.

The whole thing took about 10mins and I even had a little trouble getting one of the bulbs out lol. here is a quick pic.

Thanks, I figured the picture of the bulb layout would help a little bit. I actually like the way this looks better. It actaully seemed like the lights were a little brighter too, but that may just be me overly excited.
