Default JDM Rain Guards and wind noise

Question for those with the JDM Rain Guard. I searched but did not find what i was looking for, so...

Does anyone hear excessive wind noise from their guards? I think i may have installed the drive side a tad off, cuz there is constant wind noise, but none from the passenger side, at least that i can tell. Do i need to reinstall them, and how? I was thinking heat gun and new double-sided tape, but looking for experience before i mess things up. Thanks,

-Lee

Dont even bother..... The rainguards are a straightforward install and there is increased wind noise... I actually thought my window was open or cracked but it was actually the rain guards.

No need to bother with it. Wind noise will be there. I've installed a bunch of them for my local customers, wind noise is just there.

Yea the wind noise is a problem with them.... but i (with the help of my crafty Pop's) was able to make the wind noise a lot more tolerable by pulling the door panel off and messing with the window height adjustments and the adjustment that will move the mirror piece in or out. If interested ill try to explain more...

Wind noise on the driver side, no wind noise on the passenger side.

Honestly though I'd rather hear the damn wind noise then all the creaks and rattles from everything else in the car, spec c roof vent... rear windshield glass creaking when it's cold, sounds like the damn thing is going to pop out..lol

I removed them as they seemed to amplify the wind noise... and with a 50% hearing loss on my left ear, I would still hear it

Some rubbing alcohol (a light dosage of it) on a towel would clean it up right quick!

Same thing goes for wax/polish on your windshield wipers!

It's not the rain guards, it's the window seals. I had the dealership replace mine and I have no more wind noise.

no it's the rain gaurds. Once you put them on you can hear the wind as it passes on by. take them off and it goes away.
