Default 06+ s204 v-limited replica polyurethane lip ebay $155 shipped!

Hey guys I'll be getting this on monday, just thought I would share:

eBay Motors: 06-07 SUBARU IMPREZA WRX STI S204 FRONT LIP PU URETHANE (item 270207608815 end time Feb-04-08 13:24:11 PST)

I'll be installing shortly. I'm wary of the bumper crack issue, mine's ok.

Got the $12 badge from fastwrx.com

Not a bad price at all, less than i paid for my knock off v-limited AND im willing to bet all the knock off lips that mach v and other vendors get are all the same and are all made in some place in china haha

Just watch out, on the fake sti badge that mach V sells, mine flew off after like a thousand miles, the sticky backing isnt all that great

I've heard of people having their Ebay lips sag after awhile. I'm interested to see how this compares to the quality of fastwrx's lips.

I'm not gonna buy a lip until spring so I'm gonna look foward to your findings. After looking at the ebay pics, it looks like the box and hardware are identical to that of fastwrx's lips. I know this cause my roomate bought one for his wagon.

I just got a fastwrx lip last week. I took it out of the box on Saturday and it was bent and deformed all to hell. I made sure when I mounted it to the car it would work out the kinks. Luckily I was able to bend it to make it look like it was supposed to. But I am not so impressed by the fastwrx lip.

My old CS type 2 replica lip that I got from CVR motorsports back in 06 was much better quality.

Edit/Update: I had the fast WRX on the car for a bit for a roadtrip from NY to FL and back. It held up well and when I took it back off it held its shape so the deformity was gone. Also I hit a block of ice in NY and all it did was pull the screws out of the bumper. No issues on the lip itself.

I retract my previous statment about quality. This lip held up very well due to that impact. I will be replacing the screws with bolts and wide washers when I put it back on in the spring. So that is my only gripe about the Fast WRX lip is the mounting hardware.

Had my FastWRX replica lip on now for almost 2 years. The thing has taken a beating, but it's yet to have any major damage (I did manage to chip a tiny piece of it off, and it's scratched to hell) - will be taking it off to paint re-paint it during the summer.

OK, update, received the lip on friday, 2/1/08. It was shipped through fedex. I had bought the lip on ebay 1/28/08. Pretty quick shipping.

Received as pictured below: (Note, fastwrx apparently ships theirs in a large cardboard box)

Outter white fedex wrapper removed; thick bubble wrap underneath, then another plastic cover:

As you can see the finish on the lip, as the fastwrx lip has been described is not perfect. It is mainly a 'matte' appearance in parts, but then in other it is more 'glossy'. It could definetely benefit in appearances from a coating of a paint with a flex additive, to suit your likening (glossy/matte). I dont think it looks bad enough to warrant it though. My logic is, its a splitter; you make it look real good, then when it gets its' fair share of every day rock dings/chips, it'll really look bad.

Hardware: (*** 2 bolts short***)

Buy some extra bolts, and a box of washers/lockwashers so its really nice and secure:

The lip attaches by a few of the plastic snap-rivets that secure the plastic under trays, but largely by about 13 bolts/washers/nuts where you need to drill a hole through the inner part of the lower bumper. I first secured the lip via the snap rivets, then carefully planned the holes to drill after making sure everything looked appropriate.
