FS (OH):2006/2007 Seibon CW-II Carbon Fiber Hood

Gauging Interest:
I have a black Seibon CW-II hood that I purchased at the end of last summer that I'm looking to sell - preferably to someone local that can pick it up.

It's in excellent condition save an impact mark from hitting a small (baby) deer last fall. The only thing wrong with it is that the clearcoat is cracked in a spot the size of a basketball on the drivers side.

Basically, from what I understand in talking with some professional auto painters, is that it would cost more to fix the clearcoat than it would to just buy a new hood.

The reason I'm selling it (trying) is for anyone that doesn't mind painting it. You could leave the vents on both sides and the hood scoop section carbon fiber (I've seen many painted this way) and paint the rest to match the body color.

Personally I want all carbon, so I'm going to buy another hood, but if you don't mind that look (or painting the entire thing) then it will be a good deal. It may also be a good deal for peeps that have friends "in the business" that can give them a good deal on painting or fixing the clearcoat - sadly I have neither.

So my point - please let me know if you'd be interested in such a thing. It really is exactly as I've said so don't let you imagination wonder too far. I will post pics if anyone is interested. Again, will be a great deal for someone that doesn't mind the full or partial painted look, or has connections with paint/repair, but I'm going for the full carbon and it's no longer going to work for me.

BTW: I should add that the integrity of the hood is perfect. There are no dings, chips, dents, etc. The damage is minimal and simply cracked the clearcoat in one small area.

Also - I will probably let this go for 400-500$ (new is 800$). With a couple hundred to paint it you'd still be out at less than the cost of the hood itself.

Since I'm going for the all carbon this item is of no use to me at this point so I am willing to negotiate a fair price/trade.

I'd like to add that shipping this item will be a real PITA and run around 150$ before packaging material. I will ship if buyer is willing to cover those costs. I will send the shipping/packaging invoice with the item for verification of actual cost.

Local pickup is preferred and less expensive for the buyer - if in town I will even deliver.
