Shouldn't cost anything. It should be looked into by the dealership and be covered under warranty.

if im not mistaken since i work at a dealership, the limited manufacture's warranty only covers something misbuilt or misconstructed. not something caused by the driver. Im only guessing that the cylinder misfired because of some driving issue.

The warranty should be bumper to bumper 3 yrs or 36000 miles, and will cover pretty much any issue that comes up as long as the car has not been modified.

i got cylinder 4 misfire too. im only stage one. i reset the ecu and then it came back after about an hour. i reset again and it hasn't come back. should i take it to the dealer? or are they going to void my warranty for stage one? the car is completely stock. 14,6xx on the clock. does this have anything to do with hot temperatures, or launching, and can this mean i have low compression like many of the other 07's and possibly blew my engine?

low compression can cause cylinder missfires. Unmarry the AP and take it to the dealer after the CEL comes on. It might just be a bad plug

Tell them autozone pulled the code and you're bringing it in to fix the cylinder missfire. The code should come back within a 100miles or so. If not, then you have nothing to worry about and you can reflash stage 1.

I wouldn't worry about the cobb stickers but you can take them off if you want.

so if it comes back, auto zone told me that cyl 4 was misfiring, and then clear the code or don't clear it. cause the dealership is almost an hour from me.

You need to uninstall the AP and wait for the CEL come back. Once that happens bring it in and have them fix it.

So, you're saying the price is a screaming good deal because of the misfire? Hmmm...I think you're not being told the whole story here, amigo. A misfire can be really simple and a cheap fix (eg, just a bad plug), it can be very expensive (a bad jug, which means a lower end rebuild), or it can be anything in between. Don't roll the dice on this - it's the seller's problem, so make him fix it. And if he doesn't want to, find another car. Period.

Definitely. A lot of people think a mis-fire code is some weird ECU mistake. The point is it's throwing a mis-fire code because it's mis-firing.

The fact that it's in the infamous cylinder #4 is no good either.

ok uh im not getting another car. and the previous owner lives in west virginia so thats out of the question. so i guess ill take it to a trusted mechanic and tell him to do a leakdown and compression test to see if the infamous #4 cylinder is F$%#ed.
