^OFF TOPIC but fullerton I too have a big TMIC and I noticed that you haven't removed the rubber seal around the splitter. i recommend doing that. It limits the amount or IC used with in coming air. I have noticed a bit of a difference and the car feels as though it breathes better. It's held on by lil black plugs just like the weather stripping on our hoods. DO IT!

I already have, and replaced it with a new seal, as can be seen in the pict above. Without the seal, air will take the easiest route, which is NOT through the TMIC, but around it. I'd recommend you add that seal.

Looks like I'll first try wrapping the cold-side piping. This stuff looks to be pretty effective although it indeed is kinda too bling. But if it works on McLaren F1, it should be good, right?

Done a while ago:

Stock heat sheild:

Intercooler + pipes:

Also, now have the gold coating my Cusco sheild which overlays the factory turbo heatshield, as well as on my K&N typhoon heatsheild. 97% of it isn't visible anyway, but it's bound to be effective.

I did the tube wrap from Summit, it was about 50 bucks or so, works well too.
