Guys, please list the mod or mods you did to your car that you would do again if you had it to do all over again with the money back for the parts.
I am basically trying to find out what mods you guys did that were simply "worth every penny". You can also list mods that you wouldn't do again if you had the money back.
I am not really modded but I will start.

Mods worth every penny:
1. Silencer Removal, made the turbo and bypass valve more audible

Mods I wouldn't do again:
1. 3/16 mod, didn't do anything as far as I could tell
2. Defi D-gauge, I would have waited and got the 3 Defi guage dash pod with the red backlit Defi gauges everyone has pictures of in the Interior Forum

Thanks Guys,
Justin

Guys, great info so far.
If you guys were dead on and picked the best type/brand for the mod you wanted the first time then GREAT , I am trying to get at the point of, example: if you purchased a (brand x type A) and you realized later that you should have waited to get the (Brand Y Type B). I know that you guys probably love most of your mods, I just know that the guy with the mod knows best if he should have waited on another product or he wouldn't change a thing after knowing what he knows now.

Thanks KOI, I am plaining on doing the wingless trunk thing and might reconsider if you could tell me about it being unstable. I don't drive above 80mph for any extended period of time. Do you think I really need to keep my wing. I love the car, just don't care for the look of the wing at all.

If I had endless money and could go back...

APS 3.5" turboback
18G Turbo PP/CC/CW
INJEN CAI
Perrin Inlet Hose
Perrin Crank Pulley
Perrin Catch Can
CarbonFiber Radiator shroud (that actually covers the gaps between teh radiator and fender)
Some headers without slip joints (possibly greddy)
XXtuning uppipe
Blitz SBC-ID Spec 3 EBC
StaticX grounding Kit and Titanium Battery Terminal
PE 650 or 850CC injectors
Hyrda/Element Tuning Standalone for STI
Defi Red Backlit gauges (whenever released) - Oil Press, Boost, and Oil Temp
Blitz R-VIT OBDII Port Reader (Reads everything your car is doing including AFR, IDC, etc).
Torco Race fuel
^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Performance mods only, suspension is another thing.

So not a ton of changes, but I think I'd rather a bigger piping on the exhaust and one that doesnt require extra long hangers as that makes scraping very easy to do. That and I would put the extra $$ down for a 18G (nothing too big) turbo instead of IHI, although for the price the VF34 is PHENOMINAL.

I leared quite a few lessons from my 02 WRX. This time around with my STi I simply purchased the following mods:

-TD05H-18G (TEC-PP wastegate)
-APS 3" catless TBE with CEL eliminator
-intake box hack mod
-AVC-R for boost control
-Knocklink and wideband (wideband is not always in the car though)

Now before you go and say somthing like you are running an 18G without EM let me just say that I live at 6000ft asl and so I am just trying to make up for the atmospheric losses. So far running 19psi peak down to 15psi at redline with the 18G I am running mid 10.x:1 af and NO knock for about 4000 miles now.

I wouldn't change any of my modding decisions except maybe for getting a 06 or 06H-20G turbo from the start. The 18G just spools slightly quicker than stock and even quicker with the catless exhaust.
