IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2007 Trader Rating: (7) | I think that I read somewhere that the high pitch squeal that I am hearing is caused by a leak, is this true? Also, where are the most common places for the leak? I am going to go out and look at the car again to see if I notice anything. Thanks for all the help so far. |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2007 Trader Rating: (7) | I think that I found the problem The black inlet hose from the intake box has a hole in it right where it clamps to the turbo. Also, the hose that goes from the turbo to the intercooler (red 90) also has a hole in it!!! I found some oil in the red hose, as well as in the diverter valve hose. How serious is this? |

IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2006 Trader Rating: (8) | Oil in the elbow is normal. It's caused by some blow-by. Unless it's alot of oil then it could be turbo seals. The holes in the elbow and the inlet pipe are def going to be your problem as far as boost goes. Replace the elbow with a stocker and get yourself a new inlet pipe (Perrin, APS, Samco, etc.). Be aware they are a pain to install though. |

Get the APS inlet, its the best. The Perrin one can collapse under boost (mine did), I would stay away from all the silicone inlets. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. | |
