| Banned | Was searching through Youtube and I found this video. Seems like a pretty cool product to keep the car quiet when you want and let it rip when your ready. The video is of the exhaust on a STI. What do you guys think?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7jGYnhbQQU This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |

| Amateur STI Driver | You could also just get an electric cutout. I actually remembered the name of that company from my camaro days. http://www.quicktimeperformance.com/QTEC/index.php |

Even though the exhaust flows through three cambers when the valve is closed, it would still have more restriction than when the valve is fully open. This would have an effect on back pressure. What I find interesting is that during the install portion of the video, they show them installing a system with a cat, flex section, and a resonator and top it all off with this muffler. Thats already a lot of exhaust restrictions that should help to quiet the car down to begin with. |

A friend actually drilled a large hole through the middle of his cutout, so when completely shut, there's still some flow. Most cutouts are usually less than an inch thick, so they can be bolted in before the axleback on many setups. The only problem I forsee is longevity. There are better cutouts than others, but ALL eventually break from heat, so you're looking at replacement at regular intervals. This ad is not endorsed by this member.
