the short ram will make more power with a tune than the stock intake at stg 2 levels.

Are you going to get a stock pull done first on the same dyno?

btw, i spoke with P&L today, and they seem to think that there is no possible way that you should lose any power with the power pack unless there is something wrong with the install. not saying that was your issue crawlr, could've been an off dyno, could have been (as spt says) lack of airflow, could've been.... you get the point.

i feel so stupid at times for even still considering the power pack after crawlr's experience. my take is that if i do the before/after dyno's and lose power, i'll return it as defective...

I thought about that but I had the parts off and on the car twice and both times the butt dyno felt the loss of power. Besides, how can you install it the wrong way?

Not to mention all the others that felt the same power loss with the intake and no tune....

I sure did not loose any power down low, and on boost sweeping thru 5 - 6K it pulls much quicker now, noticable at least. No tune here.

While I don't doubt you feel it being faster the only real way to know for sure would be a dyno. It could be nothing more then a placebo. But that's not what I was referring to. It was more this thread: Why does my STI feel SLOWER with the SPT intake?

I'm glad you're happy with it though. Every car is different and I think it's pretty obvious that some of the Subby's just don't like the SPT intake.
