Default Boost creep RaNt...............

I have a thought.......... has anyone ever looked at a stock D P for an STi? The hot exhaust has to make a sharp right to go down to the D P. If you install a bellmouth which directs all exhaust more efficiently. Explain how making the WASTE GATE be able to flow more waste exhaust cause Boost to Spike? The size of the wastegate has not changed.
If you know how a turbo works it doesnt make sense. I will tell you why....... you have a set amount of boost, lets say 15 psi. You have the exhaust driving the turbine. Turbine speeds up. uh oh too much boost. wastegate now says too much boost lets open UP and now redirect exhaust to Slow the speed of the turbine. Now it is capable of being open for a shorter peroid of time due to the better flow.

How can that make the turbine spin faster and spool up quicker than it programed to, If it can remove exhaust faster?

LOUD NOISES

this topic has been debated for a while and most of the really smart subaru people agree that the problem is with the wastegate itself.

yes he is right it is you should look in to a EWG , since i got mine it stoped the creep100%. if you want one give worldoneperformance.com a call they sell the element tuning ones with a turbo smart WG and the uppipe and the dump tube for $650 the + is you can use it when you buy a new turbo if its a bolt on.
thats what i did i used it for 5 months with the stocker tell i bought the fp_REd

Element FEW Competition Uppipe System (Fabricated External Wastegate System) $399=for up-pipe only
Element FEW Competition Uppipes are designed for today's high output, bolt-on turbochargers from Deadbolt, FP, Slowboy, etc. Often these turbochargers are equipped with inferior internal wastgates that cannot control boost properly resulting in boost spikes or worse, boost creep. Element's FEW Competition Uppipe is designed to maximize power and performance by regulating boost pressure via and external wastegate and superior design. Carefully selected exhaust pipe diameter, material selection, and uppipe design produce the highest possible power output for your Subaru.

Element FEW Competition Uppipes are hand fabricated in the USA:
-Precision Tig Welding
-Thick 12g T304 Stainless Steel Pipe
-Thick 1/2 Inch Laser Cut T304 Stainless Steel Uppipe Flanges
-Stainless Steel Dump Tube
-OEM Fitment
-Compatible with most Down Pipes including Bell Mouth Designs
-Studs and Hardware Included

-Compatible with TurboSmart Ultra or Tial 38mm Wastegates
