yea i would say the gt35r, as this seems to have the most potential. If i was running that big of a turbo i deff would want to run an EWG. This will improve your power potentials.

what mods do you have and is money a problem?
i dont have big turbo like those but i have a FP Green, and i had a fmic, downpipe and intake allready on the car with the stock turbo and i didnt want to spend money on those parts again to get a rotated in. so i stayed with the stock location turbo to save a few bucks. but if i was stock and did i turbo kit all at once it would of been a rotated mount.

Hey how is your lag and drivability for everyday driving vs a fp red?

the lag isnt that bad, it's way overrated. My setup spools pretty quick for a "large" turbo, but not sure about a comparison to a red. I'd guess they'd be comparable.

quicker spooling turbos are very fun to drive, but do not give you the adrenaline rush of a 35r. there is virtually no lag when you go from a launch, or a downshift.

I recently bought another 04 STi, and it has the stock vf39, headers, helix dp, hks catback, typhoon intake, shifter, etc. After arriving home from my 5 hr trip I was bored with the car, missed the big turbo. I havent driven it since bringing it home.

I hit 26.5 lbs of boost by 4200 rpm with my Red on meth. And 18 lbs by 3200-3300. And my tune is not aggressive at all.

Out of curriosty why did you get another STi?

On the topic my red is on the way and i cant wait to get it tuned. it will be on meth with an external wastegate. the only reason i got it over the rotated mount set up was cost. i should be able to make comparable #'s to a 35R on the stock motor.

I found a guy that wanted to unload a nicely moddified 04 STi, pretty cheap. I turned around and sold after removing a few parts. It helped pass some time until TopSpeed finishes my built block/ported heads!!!

here's a pic of it http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v7...t=DSC02490.jpg

To tell you the truth, I am on a budget. I know for going all out I shouldn't be, but I am. I plan on running an EWG setup on meth as well. I'm shooting for 450-500whp w/ *somewhat* good reliability for daily driving. I am kinda leaning towards the red because of cost considering I have the TBE, cobb stage 2, and a few other goodies to go along.

Do any of you know how the SZ65 compares w/ the red?
