What are your thoughts about this syntetic oil? I have been using Mobil1 Syn. and changed 2 times already.
Next oil change is 1500 miles away just wanna get some opinions.
My mods are in my sig. Any comment would be appreciated.
Thanks

I am using 10w30 and my gas mileage went 3 miles per gallon. Performance wise, it would be to small to measure. Very pleased with it.

Why are you using 10w30 instead of 5w30? 3 miles per gallon increased or decreased?

I live in florida so I run 5w30 when its cools down and 10w30 when summer comes. It did suprise me though when I made the switch. It has been hitting the 90s in the day. But I did gain mileage. Dont know why.

I have been using RP for almost 20K and I just recently switch to Castrol Syntec. The reason why I switch is due to the fact that I'm still burning some oil. 1 qt. and half or so per 3K.

I'm going to see if Castrol is better and hope it will help on some oil burning. Otherwise, RP has been pretty good.

I hear castrol syntec can ruin seals. You may want to look into that.

I've always used mobil1 in evrything i drive and everything that family mambers drive... not trying to sound like a mobile rep... Any high quality synthetic will work well... just dont bring it to the local jiffy lube or something... I can recomend using a Lucas "Pure Sythetic" oil additive no matter what oil you use. The Lucas oil product is an oil stabilizer that works great! I also use the lucas upper cylinder lubracant and fuel additives.... very happy with those as well.

Where you get that from? I have few STi guys running Castrol and there seem to be no problem.

Don'tknow about royal purple, but I have dyno proven results of Motul over the regular **** the dealer puts in the motory. My dyno showed a consistent 4whp improvement with motul over regular crude. This was on my old cbr954rr, one wheel at 150mph while sitting on the gas tank

I have been using mobil1 syt. for my first and second change. I started to see alot of RP ads on the mags, I was just wondering if it does worth the change. I guess not.

For those who burn oil try regular oil instead of syt. the guy whom i get my stuff done, was using syn and burning average 1, 1.5 qu, he switched back to regular oil and problem solved. His car is heavyly modded.

I don't remember, but I was used it for 2000 miles and was convinced by others that it wasn't the best idea. I switched to royal purple and have no complaints.
