Are you looking to replace the hush because it is on the quiet side? I have the same set-up and looking for a bit more growl but not the RFL growl since we don't want fix-it-tickets. What I plan to do is replace the twin tips with a tin walled larger diameter (3-1/2" tips. This should amplify the growl more. I'll keep you posted.

Wow.. that SSQV is LOUD!
haha

Are you using the little black filter that comes with the kit?
It's like a little black circular thing...
I've heard it's louder without it.

I shot that video, it is F-ing loud! I have also recorded/heard this car in many different environments over the last couple years, and the catless with this exhaust is one of the gnarliest/nastiest/meanest sounding combinations.

i'll just jump in line and give one more vote to the perrin twin tip as the best sounding non single tip exhaust

i have a few soundclips in my journal but they were recorded with a digicam.
someday i may records some real quality ones with my camcorder.

ps: i have the v2 resonated one, mated to a helix catted DP.
it's loud

J.

Yea I got the hush because the STi was my daily driver and I do a lot of driving so I didn't want anything that might have a highway drone etc. But it is paid off now and I'm going to be purchasing a beater daily driver and the STi is just going to have some work done (weight reduction, gut entire stereo, 20g, etc) So I wanted something a little more aggressive.

I'm still throwing around the idea of just cutting off the resonator on the borla and seeing what that sounds like.

Yes. I'm installing the Greddy EV02 catless on May, when I take the Perrin twin tip off, as it's just too loud for me, and I'm afraid of getting pulled over for it.
