Roger Wilco. Though I'm not going to be able to finish the install 100% until my turbo gets here. Soon I hope.

So what sort of fidling did you have to do with the fuel lines (if any)?

didn't have to modify the fuel lines at all. I did have to unbolt them from the fender/shock tower to get the piping under them... then rebolt them back. One vac. line in the same array i had to disconect and reconect to rout it under the piping.

On the other side, I had to cut 1" off the top of a steel wire harnes tower and relocate the harneses so that the piping would clear it. I also had to bend some steel tubes down and unbolt them form the fender/shock tower in that same vacinity.... i don't mind this stuff though (i enjoy it).

I hope the bumper isn't to bad.

Do you know which of the holes in the top of the bumper replacement beam we are supposed to use when screwing on the silver brackets? And which of the brackets is the left vs. right one?

Well I've got all the hardware in installed.

The good: the build quality and fitment of the parts is overall very good

The bad: no instructions? wtf
no place to store washer fluid (oem bottle won't fit & no replacment)
no gasket for stock bov supplied
the engine oil fill cap won't go on because the upper ic piping
sits on top of the fill spout (not sure how to fix this one)
lots of metal cutting/grinding required
have parts left over & don't know what they are for

I will be working on the bumper cap tonight and will keep you posted.

Steve
There needs to be a solution for the washer fluid. I live in the middle of a swamp, so as you can guess the bugs around here are quite bad.

hmmmm.... I dont have an 06 but could you place the oem coolant overflow (which does come with a replacement) in the place of the windshield fluid resivor? Seems like it might just work.

I'd have to take a look at it. I don't think moving the washer fluid reservoir would be too big of a deal.

... thats a good idea. I'll look at it.

Also, do you think it would be worth while to rig up the intercooler water sprayer to the front mount?

Its done.

The DR525 will work with the 2006 STi front facia.

The bumper cutting was really quite easy. Basically i just cut out everything that was unpainted (black insert looking area) blended the lines straight an presto! A perfect fit.

The cool thing is that the dimentions of the intercooler perfectly match the dimentions if the opening. The intercooler is like 33" X 9" and so is the opening. It looks factory perfect.

With all the left over plastic, I made some supports to secure the lower bumper lip with the mounts under the intercooler. I guess these i.c. mounts line up with the 2005 facia but not even close with the 06'. It was pretty easy.

The bumper is off getting re-painted today and should be ready tomorrow.

Does anyone make an engine oil cap that isn't so wide. The OEM cap rubs on the side of the i.c. piping even with the blocks cut off the perimeter & plus it looks like sh*t.

I will take some pics and post them in a few days.

I'd be very surprised if this would prove of any real value. Just my HO of course.

Yup. All my pipes directly visible are red. The two hard pipes connected directly to the core and hidden behind the bumper are polished. Works for me.

The new coolant tank almost looks like it should be in a museum.
