Default Is there anyway to make my RFL-Ti sit closer to the bumper

Right now I have the 3" TXS RFL-Ti axleback and it was supposed to go on my wife's WRX but I said to hell with it and put it on my car for a little bit because I'm considering the full turboback or the APS 3.5 but this RFL sits way too low for me and i know there's an issue with soot from running catless but I don't care just have to stay on top of the cleanliness my question though is there anyway to make it sit higher right now i'm still using the stock hangers and from what I've read the Kartboy hangers will make it sit even lower, so any help would be appreciated.

If you're on the stock exhaust hangers then I'd say no. The kartboy XL hangers will drop the exhaust down more...but the regulars are the same size as the stockers. Only thing with running the KBs over the stock is you run more of a risk of possibly burning your bumper. You might want to try the KB regular sized hangers....but it probably wont make much of a difference, if any at all..

I don't know about your muffler, but my RFL-Ti sits about 1" away from the bumper. Any closer, I'd worry about the muffler tip melting the bumper. I see that you also have S-tech springs. I know how the whole exhaust sits too low for my comfort since I also have the springs and TXS tbe.

I guess to answer your question, either bend the muffler hanger arms slightly, with couple of pairs of vise grips. Use heat if it doesn't bend too easily. I'm not sure if there's any specific hangers that will raise the muffler. I guess if your stock hangers look a little stretched, an aftermarket hanger that's more solid might raise it a bit. Good luck.

Is your midpipe sitting low? or the muffler itself?

Kartboy makes shorter hangers too, dont forget.

Ive seen exhausts as close as a few cm's to the bumper and nothing has melted, and inch is alot.

I'm not saying all do, but I've seen it happen before, and I don't recall any of them being on the stock hangers. I have the KB hangers as well...and have been running them without a problem.

Kartboy makes hangers shorter then the stocks?

Right now i only have the axleback and it'll end up on my WRX pretty soon but I don't like to look at it because I prefer to have it tucked up closer the bumper

yea, i guess inch is alot. but that is the widest gap i have between the tip and the bumper. tip sit offset on the oval cut out on the bunmper, so some spots are closer to the bumper than others. btw, i'm on cusco hangers.

I ran into the same problem with my hks....I thought the canister hung a little too low and it didn't look as good as it would pulled up closer to the bumper....and I found a solution...I think it would work b/c the exhaust are pretty similar. You know how the hangers have the holes on each end and the slit in the middle....i hung it by the slit instead of the end hole. This pulled the exhaust up maybe 1/2 an inch and I did this with all 4 hangers. It is kind of a pain to get them in there, but worth it in my opinion. There is plenty of clearance room all around and the exhaust actually moves less with it hung like that....I'm fully catless and I've never had problems with soot or my rear bumper getting dirty.
