IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2005 Trader Rating: (0) | Im thinking about going catless. Have a few questions, and would appreciate any feedback; 1st, will a Turboxs race pipe from a WRX, work with my rfl, have a seller over on Nasioc.... What do you catless guys think, is it worth it, or just a headache when getting her inspected? I recently had the privelage to drive Avatar's catless STi, and was really impressed with the throttle responce! What about a exhaust dump pipe...Are they any options with that route, with the RFL, or would it take custom work? With all that boost from the SZ55, I really think that last cat is holding back.. (SZ55, ARC fmic, AEM Shorty, Utec, Perrin 186, Walb 255, and supporting mods....) This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. Me and my friend have same cars with same mods at the time (TBE and intake) i was catless and he had a cat and i would consistantly pull a car to a car and a half on him. I'm sure with the SZ55 that much air going through will make even a greater difference. How do you like your SZ55 set-up though?? How is the top-end compared to stage 2?? I have heard that 6th gear feels like 4th. Is this true?? |

The Pulls are ridiculous! She pulls all the way to my rev limited 7k, which I'm sure would keep going past that. The gears are a lot longer so in a sence they do feel like higher gears. 1st is still ridiculously fast. Its alot of fun, little more laggy but nothing to cry about. I took some guys out for a ride in the other day SPAZEGUN, and ZABUZA they seemed to enjoy it.

Can I get metal substrate to work with my rfl? If so which one where at ect.... -I'm leaning more and more to catless. Is this a pretty simple swap out, I'm assuming its a few bolts like the rest of the ehaust. -In reffrence to my other Q, I have someone with a wrx catless portion from a turbosx, will it work with my STi''s rfl? Or is it just worth it to buy new? Thanks guys, really appreciate the feedback! Last edited by PigsXTi; 03-29-2006 at 08:00 AM.

And yes go catless!!! there are plenty of places that will hook you up come emissions time. I'm catless, and I'm not worried! one thing though is your exhaust will get louder!!! oh and if that wrx guy has a full 3" it should fit. Call turboxs, they should be able to give you info on it.

IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2005 Trader Rating: (12) | I just went catless today with my TurboXS TBE and all I can say is WHOA! I never thought that the cat was THAT restrictive, as I was looking into it, I didn't think it would effect the exhaust flow as much as it did. I was impressed, thought I would be able to tell at all, but boy was I wrong. Two thumbs up for going catless do it! |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2004 Trader Rating: (1) | I just got my TXS catless TBE-Ti today. I can't stop looking at it. I'm glad I went catless, just waiting on the AP so I can slap them on. Only concern is boost creep for me, but with your snail, I'm sure catless would be all improvement for you. |
