How many miles untill you have to start replaceing stuff? i am thinking about buying an 04 with 60k and i want to know if theres anything i willl need to be replaceing between 60k and 100k.

Depends how you drive the car.

I would be surprised if an engine lasted 100k of constant WOT operation or racetrack use. Subarus have lasted like 300k with normal driving, but most STi´s aren´t driven normally...

I wouldn't go much farther without replacing the timing belt.

IIRC the timing belt's supposed to be inspected at 60k but not scheduled for replacement till 105k. Doubleckeck it, but I'm fairly certain that's the interval Subaru maintenance calls for.....
