Default Another CLOSED bov thread......

sorry guys i searched but could not find. Does anyone know where i can get a greddy type s bov with the top mount kit for our cars? also does anyone know if the rs sounds the same as the s? i love sound it makes, a friend of mines evo has one and its like a sucking air in sound... i dunno i cant explain it but its mean! i dont need smart comments cuz i know the bad effects and what not, and thanks to whoever in advance

stock bov is best for sti's unless upgrading turbos and the need for an aftermarket one arises

HKS is good, but youll run too lean. go with APS or AVO and you will have no problems whatsoever. stock is not the best. will start to leak at high boost.

^i think stock sti ones are ok at high boost (running around 20psi right now). WRX ones needs to be modified or swapped.

on a stock car, i would say stay off the bov unless you mod ur turbo. Seen a lot of people with more boost go for Tial BOV. I think they are very nice

+1, I like how the people with 20 posts are making big claims like that. I've read my fair share to convince me to stay stock (as long as I'm running the stock turbo).

The person who started the thread is clearly convinced that he wants a BOV regardless of the ill-effects, so let's just try to answer his question on where to buy instead of continuing a thread that is on it's way to

Are you sure that sucking noise you described is not an intake? BOVs make noises when they release air, as far as I know they don't attribute to the sucking sounds...
