So without going through this whole thing..
Who has the most WHP and WTQ with the stock turbo, stock air box, intercooler and no kind of injection (meth, nitrous, alcohol, etc)..?
Bolt ons and computers are ok. Basically a pro tuned stage 2 STi.
Thanks
Nick

13.0, but the auto won't shift fast enough and I get random knock at the track only...go figure. I can cut 1.63 60's but it falls on its face at the top end....add the knock which retards timing and I end up slower than I should be

I couldn't find a baseline run here, but I'm on dialup so my search wasn't terribly complete.

Anyway, I've got a stock 06 STi and a good friend has a stock 05 STi. Long story short, we're both road-course junkies and what his car does to mine on the straights, even if he lifts so I can catch up, is absolutely embarassing!

I've driven his car and it was immediately obviously his engine smokes mine in the 3k-6k rpm range. It's not even CLOSE! Oh, and of course, the dealership did nothing but drive the car, opine that it's strong (it is -- feels a little stronger than my old WRX, which was strong), and reset the ECU.

I got mine dyno'd the other day on a Mustang AWD dyno. All numbers are at the wheels. Ignore the boost numbers. They weren't hooked up correct to get my boost.

Could someone please confirm whether or not this pull was done by a car with issues and/or steer me toward some charts of bone-stock ones I can compare this one with? I thought this thing was supposed to make peak torque of 300 (250 at wheels) at 4k RPM. Not even close!

I should add that initially the car was using nearly half a tank per 25-minute session, then suddenly got two sessions using barely over half a tank and is getting 20-22 mpg on the street despite me more or less constantly flogging it. Even the dealership had to admit the fuel economy seemed way too high and the service advisor there with a stock 05 said he can't get 22 mpg babying his.

This pull was done on 92 octane. When I was getting trounced at the track by my friend, I was probably at about 94 octane and he would've been at 91. Mine was a mix of the locally-available 91 and some 100 available at the track.
