I plan to get ECUtek'd in a couple of weeks. Would adding a aWalbro 255 fuel pump help in any way?

I was thinking that the added pump with the same injectors could get the IDC lower. Is that a correct assumption?

Or is this just a waste w/o bigger injectors?

Thanks!

Default Just got mine! Newbie question inside.......

This very same question regarding a WRX was asked about a year ago on NASIOC. The consensus was that it was a smart upgrade. Read on...

Hey Trey

Just wondering where and when you are getting ecutek'd and for what price. I live in knoxville, tn and have decided ecutek is the way to go for me. Thanks

If you take a look at www.ultimate-racing.com their upgrade stages for the STi include an initial upgrade of just the fuel pump and ECUtek. I asked them about it and they said it was a simple effective upgrade to get the IDC's down a bit, so you're right on the money.

Default WoW check this. Guy pulled over for doing 205mph on bike

i am going ecutek too. luckily, my dealer does them, and tunes on their awd dyno.....

i was gonna use a 3rd party tuner, an go UTEC, but the whole concerns of warranty have isuaded my decisions....

i plan to do the stage one upgrade for now, with ecutek, TBE, and upgrade intank pump (not sure if 80 or 255 is the answer, since the injectors can only flow so much....)

www.mastrowrx.com is my local dealer... (lucky, am i)

Thanks for the assurance guys.

I have a dyno session at www.dyno4mance.com on 10/03. Shiv Vishnu will be there that weekend tuning.

My dealer also tunes ECUtek and has a AWD dyno, but I don't want to be their STi test mule.

Trey would you mind me tagging along that day....since I've never gotten a chance to meet you I'd like to see your car.... and since I live in chattanooga it's only like a 40 minute drive for me down to dyno4mance. Plus my vacation started right now and I don't have to go back until the 4th so that could be my last cool thing to do before I go back to work.

Also, can they tune just about anything? cuz I logged on to dyno4mance's forum about 4 months ago and asked them if they could tune a UTEC and I never got a responce back from them. So if not then I'm going to have to take my car down to Knowledge Performance.

That's cool with me. I'm first on the dyno that morning and plan to be there at 9am.

I'm not sure if Andrew (owner) can tune the UTEC. Ask him on that Sunday when you are there, he's a really cool guy.
