IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2007 Trader Rating: (2) | i put on my new perrin TMIC last night and it was fine all night...boosted up perfectly and everything.... then this morning on my way to school i decided to give it a punch pulling out onto the highway and in 3rd gear at around 6k rpm i let off the gas and went to push in the clutch and i heard a boo...BOOOMM!! everything looks fine and the car drives fine but no boost! and there is a HUUUUGGGEEE leak sound when i spool up. i checked all the hoses and they are fine....what could it be!!!! PLEASE HELP AND THANKS IN ADVANCE.! This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |

I would still take it back off, just because they feel fine doesn't mean they are.. It could feel normal until your in boost, where all the pressure would open the cut/tear in the hose and let the air out. | |

IWSTI Addict since: May 2008 Trader Rating: (1) | The only possible place to be leaking boost is between the compressor side of the turbo and the throttle body.. which is the IC hoses, IC itself, and BPV. It's a new TMIC and I've never heard of them just blowing up.. also the stock BPV can hold up to 25-26psi so that's most likely not it.. so the only thing left is the hoses and clamps. I'd go with name brand, reinforced hoses and t-bolt clamps. Once Suabru see's the non-factory IC installed they're going to rape you. |
