Default Bad Compression Test

Soooo I just did a compression test on my 07 STI running a GT30R.

Upon testing the compression these are my results: 135/135/130/60

anyone have any suggestions?? Im shot, pissed, upset all at the same time. this sux. Anyone know what this is going to run me in labor to get fixed? Also would it be worth while to replace my pistons and rods while they are doing it anyway.

yea id say its time for a rebuild. How many miles did you put on the stock block with the 30r? I think ud be better off just replacing the pistons and rods while the motors apart. I think you could probably get it all taken care of for a few grand.

Sorry to hear. I've called around a few builders and easiest and cheapest is having another shortblock dropped in. You can order a new shortblock with just pistons or with pistons and rods. Rods make the cost go up atleat a grand to 1500 when final price is reached. As long as your rods are good(meaning for your power level) and are happy power wise, just do new pistons+bearings in a new shorblock and call it a day. I got quoted roughly $3k turnkey, new shortblock + drop in pistons.
