Default Blue smoke at start up

It happened today when I started it in the morning, It stopped smoking after 5-10 seconds. Has not happened again.

I have an '07 with 14,600 miles.

The last time the car did this was 3 or 4 months ago.

The car ran smooth today, I got on it and feels normal, the oil is full and there isn't any smoke coming from the oil filler cap.

Should i just watch it, see if it does it again?

The car is 100% stock btw. Stock tune.

I wouldn't be too concerned if it happens once every few months. Keep monitoring it and see if it happens or frequently, or if your car begins acting differently. You should really get the AP and flash stage 1 though.. I would hope you are aware of the crap tune Subaru put on the 07's (and 08's apparently).

bring it in to the dealer and have then do a compression test and a leakdown test. you dont really want to take any chances with the 07's. it could possibly be blow-by, but at that mileage there shouldnt be too much carbon built up

Blowby is usually white smoke. If its excessive blue smoke you may have a ringland pooped or you would have puddles of oil some consequent of excessive blowby.

If you let the car idle for 5minutes after driving(fully warmed up), do you get blue smoke at idle? That is a symptom of a turbo seal/bearing issue. If you're stock, do what was mentioned and let dealer take care of it under warranty. No warranty, there is a host of things you can check on your own.

Well it looked blue, i saw it through that auto dimming rear view which is sorta green tinted when it dims inside my garage.

I'll drive it and let it idle tomorrow and I'll report my findings.

I drove it around I got on it and then let it sit for a while idling and no smoke came out.

And the times I have started the car up today quiet a few times, no smoke on start up.

Blow-by or oil level is too high.
