| Junior STI Driver | Guys!! i have an install project planned this Saturday on a local install day, but something from work came up that requires me to be there @ 4pm... it will take about 1 hour from the install day location to get to work, so i will have to leave around 2pm to be safe... the install day starts @ 9am... so from 9am to 2pm... that's 5 hours... is it possible to pull off a turbo, injectors, and plugs install in that time frame???? i'll get help from few very experienced guys, but i do not plan on rushing the install. Anyone did this kind of installs before in less than 5 hours?? Please let me know before Saturday hopefully. Any advise would be appreciated. I will change my install plan if you guys think its impossible, i'll just install the easy stuff that day, and be safe. This ad is not endorsed by this member. You have to deal with the exhaust bolts and they r known to be seriously troublesome...u break a stud etc...just my 2cents |

To remove the turbo you will have to remove the downpipe, lines, etc. That part alone can be pita. Then once the old turbo is removed and the new one bolted up, it an can be a pain to install the inlet and everything else. There are plenty of things you can and will run into when installing a turbo and injectors. If you have lots of practice doing turbo installs on STIs, then maybe you can get close to 5 hours, but I don't think it can be done in five hours flat for a first or even second timer. |

i think you guys r right, I should just do the turbo some other time... i did a turbo inlet myself, and that was a PAIN and took 6 hours!! don't want to mess things up, and leave me stranded, and piss off my boss all on the same day... | |
