Default E cut location

I figuerd the best location for an E-cut would be right at the end of the dp. I read somewhere on here a guy saying the best spot is before the muffler in the back because it has the right amount of back pressure. I thought thats what you diddnt want and that is why the best location is at the end of the dp. Anybody know any different?

An exhaust cutout that is electronically controlled.

Question: Why wouldn't you put it on as close to the turbo as possible (maybe where the dp is going down) to evacuate those gases as fast as possible?

With a lack of back pressure, torque is greatly reduced but sometimes more HP is made. Putting the cut out somewhere after the midpipe and before the muffler should help create more back pressure than a cutout right after the DP would. This would still allow a free flowing exhaust but with enough back pressure to not cause this loss of torque.

I would agree. I would install it in the end section of the mid pipe if you are looking for a increase in TQ and HP. The closer you install it to the snail the back pressure goes down thus making less TQ but more HP, but its all in what you are looking to achieve. Me...I want both

+2 for after or on the midpipe. Let us know if you do it!
