Default Anybody every use one of these??

I came across one of these while looking at the sky mall magazine and thought this was a very cool product. I also learned that many factory technicians are trained to use these products when changing oil. Anybody have experience using one of these????

i've never used or heard about them, but it seems pretty cool. then again, you're going to have to lift the car up anyway to change the oil filter, so might as well drop out the oil from the oil pan since they are right next to each other.

I got one several years ago from Griot's Garage. Pneumatic Oil/Liquid Extractor - Oil Changes - Car Maintenance - Griot's Garage

The one shown here works with an air compressor. The one I have is manually pumped like the one in the Sky Mall catalog. Here's the correct link. Hand Pump Oil / Liquid Extractor - Oil Changes - Car Maintenance - Griot's Garage

I've never taken it out of the box. After I got it, I started rethinking whether I wanted to leave potential "sludge" in the bottom of my oil pan.

I decided I'd rather drain the pain the old-fashioned way.

yeah i was thinking the same thing since you have to change your filter but it is a much easier and cleaner way to extract your oil. I always tend to spill oil on my drive way when I change it so I may try one of these out.
