Default Weird Power Curve :( Input please.

Guys,

Update on the car.

2004 STi dynoed on Dyno Dynamics. Car has been low on power (noticed at the Dubai Autodrome where I couldnt pull on NSX, 350Zs, E46 M3s and a stage 2 Evo would walk away from me Hard.

Anyways, the motor was replaced with a new block at 8K miles (currently 22K) and prior to the blown motor, the car made 315 to the wheels (tuned by Scott Seigal at SOG). I am under the impression that the dealer flashed it back to stock. Mods:

K&N drop in.
TBE w/ high flow cat.
Possibly a tune? Not sure.

Any ways, the boost guage does not show a spike and the boost is set at 1.1 bar through out. Thoughts? Possible issues as to why I have a flat curve?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Lutfy

Your going to have to upload it up to photobucket or photoshack etc.

Can you show the timing and boost graph? It's cutoff in your picture.

Could just be a hiccup in the dyno?

poorly calibrated dyno. i'd worry about that tune if they can't even figure out the dyno. hp &tq do not cross at 5250.

I am sure the dyno is calibrated right. Several Evos pulled some decent numbers. Its a PITA getting a decent Scooby Tuner here in Dubai. Not sure if someone else had seen this type of an issue or not.

I have the Tactrix cable (got it with me from the States). However I do not have the software which guages the, knock, boost, fuel etc. Any lead as to where I can download it from?

I'll be taking the car to the mechanic once I get the software. Thinking of doing an OTS Stage 2 Tune to keep things in check.

Frustrating....

Though now that I look at the left scale, you don't look like you're showing torque.

That spike is definitely not being produced by your motor. Trust me...if you had an 80hp spike at 3600 rpm you wouldn't need a dyno chart to tell you something was wrong. I recommend finding another tuner or getting open source and learning how to road tune your own car.

Edit: What is the unit of measurement of the left?

I had a similar problem with a car that i tuned, boost spiked up to 17psi and then dropped down do 14 psi all this before 4,000rpm. We found a faulty bcs was the culprit, we replaced with a stock unit and everything was fine. You can download the software from Romraider.com
