The reason his HP and Torque do not cross at 5250 is because they are using different scales for the y-axis (left and right sides of the chart). The bump in the graph is an inaccurate measurement, either the lead came off where they were measuring RPM for a second or the dyno data log messed up for a second. Your car is not actually making a graph that looks like that.

Quoted for stup- I mean posterity.

Think about it a second. The y-axis values for each graph are scaled differently. That means at any given x, the y-value is at a different place then it would be if HP and Torque were on the same scale. So if each value is scaled at a different factor when x=5250, then ...

Why am I typing, he obviously doesn't get it.

that looks like wheel slip, did you lock down the center diff while you are on the dyno?

First- blow me.

Yeah, I was for some reason I expected that the intersection would stay the same, but it wont if you actually think about it.

Guys, I can surely read graphs but this is the second experience I am having with/on a dyno. That said, I would have to ask about locking the diff. Speaking of which: how do you lock it down in the first place?

The reading on the left axis: Tractive Effort

I did three runs and all three of them had the same spike. Yesterday spent some time doing 2K-5K runs and the boost on the stock guage (I have it behind the steering from the factory) read .1 throughout and stayed consistent.

Getting some data logs tomorrow and sending it to a known tuner.

Previously the car has been tweaked in ATL, GA since then I have moved to Dubai and its freaking HOT (did I say HOT?) and humid. Perhaps the ECU is compensating for the change in climate. Time will tell, for now, I need some data logs.

find the 2 buttons next to your emergency brake, to the front of your center console

locking down the diff: hold down the manual button and scroll the wheel down, you should see the word" auto" to green arrows to orange arrows, the bottom arrow=full lock, MAKE 100% sure it is fully locked on the dyno
