also i forgot i have another question. i know that your not supose to put a blow off valve on an sti without tune cuz it makes it run rich or something. but now that i have an AP is it ok for me to run with a aftermarket BOV with stock TMIC?

it's always ok but it's not recommended. the only reason to use a bov is for the sound, which it sounds like is all you want. if you want to use an aftermarket bov, read up on speed density and blow-thru maf tubes.

if you want the bov sound, the best way to do so without affecting performance is to install an aftermarket intake. not only will you hear the factory bpv, but you also gain hp.

yea i already have an spt intake. and i have the stock BPV and its noticable sound wise. but i was just looking for something a little bit louder. so is there a aftermarket BPV that would be better and not effect performance?

yeah there are many aftermarket bpv's and adjustable valves that'll give you the sound you want without the rich moments between shifts

If more noise is what you want. Then screw the bov. Just get an ewg and call it done

The speed density stuff is some crazy reading.

um i don't have any recommendations. i know lots of people like the aps dual event, turboxs hybrid, forge recirc, and turbosmart. lots of vta bov's have kits to make them recirc as well.

just please don't buy a hks ssqv!

I don't have any recommendations to make as to which one to buy but I would say don't unless you just can't live without the sound. My guess is, the more reading you do you will find something you'd much rather put that money toward

Honestly I've never tried it on mine. My guess is you have to find a long flat stretch of road (something I don't really have where I live) with little traffic where you can do a 4th gear pull.
