It would be one or the other. My guess is you're not going to run out and buy a catted dp so you would probably want to go with the pill swap per cobb's recomendations or a protune.

Or nhat just gave you another possible route you could go. If the tuners he recommended tune cobb they could tune using your AP. Or you could skip the AP all together and just get an opensource tune since it looks like thats maybe a local option for you.

good move! a lot of people are happy with their experience @ ptuning. their tuner knows his stuff. have you already bought the ap? he does both ap and opensource protunes.

before you buy the ap, ask him about opensource tuning. it'll save you $700 which you can put towards other stuff!

there's nothing wrong with opensource...some people just prefer the cobb ap.

so...how'd it go?

Like nhat said, nothing wrong with opensource tuning and I in no way wanted to sound like I was knocking it. The cobb is just one option that many, including myself, like for the somewhat plug and play functionality.

Definitely, report on how the tune went/goes.

ya i went there. and ptuning gave me alot of help. they wernt able to do open source at the time but i wanted the ap anyway. so i got that and the guy even contacted chris at cobb. and he said that i should be good with the ap even though i have a catless dp. he said im only going to need the vacuum line and restricter pill if i have the problem of over boosting and if i was knocking. and he showed me how to find out cuz he said that it was only a hand full of the 07's that have that problem. but i think im good cuz im deff not over boosting or knocking but i love the ap.
