Default water in catch can?

so far i havent had any oil in my catch can, just water! anyone else catch just water? i would guess appx. 2 oz in about 1,200 miles. im glad i didnt plumb it to drain into the oil pan! i didnt think there would be that much condensation in the crankcase.

I noticed water would condense in the cans (one can in particular, I can't recall which system it was connected to) after doing a lot of city driving. I've tried at least four different CC setups with limited success. what kind of can(s) are you using? Lack of baffling seems to be the problem with most CCs not condensing oil vapor.

Water is a byproduct of combustion, it's normal.

i have a provent. im pretty sure the little bit of oil i go thru is being burned at cold start (loose forged pistons), so im not worried about almost none being in the catch can.

Is your intake system clean? That's my problem. The oil vapor still condenses in the IC and Manifold just as much as it did w/o cans.

my breather system vents thru the catch can into the atmosphere so nothing can dirty up my intake.

My cc is plumbed rather same way but the line coming out of the pcv sistem is plumbed to the catch can and then back to the intake. The breather lines from the heads are atmospheric. So far I haven't gotten any problem and everything is clean.

my pcv isnt even hooked up anymore! nothing can possibly get in my intake unless the turbo blows and spits oil out of the compressor.
