Default Perrin GT3582R Rotated kit?'s

First off I got an extremely good deal on this kit. I know it is too big, for right now, but can it succesfully be used at the 400 WHP level if you don't mind some lag? All supporting mods(fuel, etc..) will be preformed. In the future I plan to upgrade internals , so the question is for right now would it be tunable at the 400-425 range? Any input appreciated! Thanks.

dont see why not, just get a conservative tune and dont room as much boost. theres plenty of people rockin 35r's tuned for what its made for and have lasted a while on the block. it all depends on the tune and how you drive.

I know it will be able to hit 400 whp, I just wanted to get feedback on drivability with the bigger housing at lower boost levels, while I save up for a built block. I've got Power Enterprise 850cc, Perrin rails, walbro 255, Perrin Adj reg., APS DR 725 FMIC all going in with the kit. Thanks for the feedback guys!

I drive very conservatively and will get a mild street tune, so hopefully it will work out.

Driveability isn't that bad as people claim to be, sure it wont spool as quick as the VF39 but it'll hold its boost up until redline and with good tune you'll see couple pounds of boost at 3k/rpm which is nice to drive around with, but make sure you get a good tune thats a must.

You should be able to hit 400whp on pump quite easily, now add some meth and you'd be way above that.

Hell, just ask modaddict - he's been running a GT35R on a stock block for over a year now. Shoot him a pm, and I'm sure he'll fill you in.

FWIW,I have a Perrin GT30 kit and he has a Crawford GT35 kit and we've driven each other's cars. Both are quicker than hell, and frankly the 2-300 rpm increased lag on the bigger turbo is virtually unnoticeable on the street. The power band is a little different, sure, but his setup is pretty dang nice.

you can tune it to where ever you want and it'll be good on the stock block..just be sure you have a good tuner.

You'll be fine with that setup, although I never really liked the Perrin Turbo kits.

Ya know, I'd agree with that, and I even own one. In the real world, however, they tune up just as well as the better prepared packages (ie, UR) and if he got a helluva deal on it, he's gonna be all smiles once it's on and tuned.

you'll be fine at 400whp for awhile as long as the tune is ok, you're very anal about maintenance, and there's not a loose nut behind the wheel.

I had a perrin kit....the driveability was good........but it fit like a whore in church.

30r vs 35r....that will be the endless debate in time. FWIW, I have a log of me hitting 25psi at 4147rpms in 4th gear on my 35r. And I can hit 25psi in 1st too
