Default Help me plan my turbo upgrade

I'm asking for advice on what could be the best combination of parts for me. This should be the end-all upgrade for me (unless I pop my motor and buy a built block, then it's a perrin 30r kit for sure).

I want a turbo with good spooling characteristics and POWER of course. I do mostly canyon driving and the occasional track day. I'm not really a drag strip guy. I also want reliability. I really need this motor to last 100k or so miles. I currently have 13k miles on the car. It's a 2007 STi with TBE, Prodrive CAI, big injectors for E85, Cobb AP, and a Perrin Pulley.

Here are the turbos I am considering:
FP 20g @ 44/min @ $1165
Deadbolt 20g @ 44.5/min @ $1395
Deadbolt SZ49 @ 49/min @ $1595
FP Green @ 49/min @ $1399
FP Green HTA @ 56/min @ $1499

So what do you guys think? What kind of power am I looking at with these w/ a front mount or with out one? What is the most power I'm going to get for the least amt of $$? Should I do TGV deletes? Should I do a silicone inlet? What about 7cm vs. 8cm? Or 2.4" vs. 3"? There are just so many choices and I want moderately quick spool with good power and great bang for my buck....

Opinions?

Thanks,
Chris

FP GREEN 8cm, 3 inch would be my choice.

Since you are running E85, simply a 20G will get you to nearly 400 WHP. That is about pushing it on the stock block.

for 100 more, you can get that HTA green over a normal green and have a 56 lb wheel instead of 49....
HTA green def, you will love it.

Would a Front Mount be beneficial enough to justify?

Or a Bloush. The TMIC is fine with Meth. Your charge gets cooled by the Meth, so the front mount really is not needed and just causes a pressure drop. The Meth will more than makeup for the loss in top end power. That charge will be so dense and cool, so knock resistant that you can get some good high end HP without sacrificing low end TQ.

These turbos are so close in size that Meth is going to be the big power factor. Yeah you will get a little more HP with the bigger turbo, but not much. I would rather have the good low end and Meth myself.

20G, big topmount, Meth, TGV deletes, inlet.

The meth will help you make power because it cools the intake charge, IMO for a smaller turbo(in the 18-20g area), Meth injection would be more beneficial than going to a front mount. It would probably be a break even money wise and you would in most cases make more power with the meth than a FMIC.

I don't really want to run meth. I'd rather just do E85.

20G, TMIC, external wastegate, E85 and the other usual aftermarket bolts ons would make for a killer combo.

Yes you can run both, but it would pretty much be overkill to run meth with E85 on any of these turbo. E85 will easily push your stock block to the limit and has the capability to push these turbos into the upper 20s as far as boost settings are concerned.

Plus e85 and meth sometimes have a hard time getting along. Intake manifold backfires can be nasty!

I think the TD06 20G 8cm with a Bigger TMIC like a Spearco or a APS and Meth is one of the best combos out there awesome spool up and great reliable street power... You will have it under your foot the whole time you will love it.. I also said man I dont want to run meth when I was planning my Turbo Build.. Let me just say I am so happy I did, With my DOM 3 and a TMIC and Meth its great.. I love the car its got great power and the trottle response is just amazing I feel like I still have the VF39 in there with 400+WHP its great. The Meth I did to really help me with cooling effects and it was worth every penny.. I would really consider it over E85 just my .02..

Thanks for all the input so far guys.

One more question:

My tuner recommends running an FP Red to achieve 375-390whp because it is 'safer' and will be more reliable. What do you guys think?

If i had to choose between one of FP's turbos (which i am) HTA Green, the red just seems...like i would just go rotated.
