When you try and buy a block Subaru asks for build date if you are buying for an 06 model. IIRC, it was very late in the MY06 run that Subaru changed the design on the motor. Only a few 06 STIs were made that way. I could be crazy though and none were made with the newer block.

Says build dates of 7/06 or later which is the 07 model year block. Pre 7/06 build dates are 04-06 STi's. There's nothing new stated here. There are no 06 STi rollong around with 07 blocks from dealerships/SOA. The 07's have some slightly different tapped holes for the fuel rails which are top feed style. There are probably other slight differences in other mounting points.

It's on the little plate on the driver's side lower sill (when you open the door).

When does productions start? So if the end is July 2006, when did the 2006 production start?

Thanks didnt even know the build dates on the door tab. Im in the clear with 08/05
