it can be done for sure, but it depends on how big the filter is and what rotated kit you have. im thinking my filter is going to be too big. i might need to get one about 7"-8" long and no more than 6" o.d. with my ultimate racing kit i also need a very short length of bent 4" tubing to angle the filter down a bit so it clears the piping.

alright, i snapped some pics.

first, the stock power steering lines suck. i removed the clamps, loosened the banjo bolt on the pump, rotated and bent them and zip tied them out of the way.

now you can see my current ghetto setup. i needed a temporary intake for breakin so i chopped my cai and popped the filter on the end. ugly but it works. you can see how little room there is to work with when you have perrin piping!

here is my 4" elbow that i will use to mount the filter to the turbo. it needs to be short and tilt down and towards the passenger fender.

i ordered an amsoil filter that might not fit. i want the biggest filter possible. i have a EAAU4090 on the way, if it doesnt work (probably wont!) then the EAAU4070 will be ordered. i know for a fact that it will fit. here are the dimensions. http://www.amsoil.com/products/ea_fi..._and_Specs.pdf

here is an underhood shot to get an idea where it all is.

a 45 will be more than enough. your best bet is to cut a short piece, but keep as much angle as possible. then slide the filter on and see where it wants to sit. draw a line on the tubing where the flange is then cut an inch in front of that. its better to start out conservative and cut more as needed. i might have cut mine at too low of an angle, but i guess ill see! depending on your turbo kit, im guessing you want around a 25-30 degree bend.
