Default 06 STi Intake MAF sensor.

Does anyone know which intake systems works with the Maf without getting the check engine light?

After you install the intake, I believe the CEL will come on regardless.. I have an AEM intake, and the CEL light has come on onces since I put it on and i believe it was because I only had 1 bolt for a few weeks holding down the MAF, which isn't smart. APS and the K&N are some top choices too.

No intake should throw a CEL. Make your car run bad, now thats another topic. The intake most people swear by is the APS(I run one on my car, for now)

I have the SPT. Subaru made this intake for your car. I'm thinking they know what they are doing. No cel.

I also added the fog light bezel cold air kit to my car. Works great.

If an intake is throwing a CEL it is improperly designed and should be chucked in the trash. The key aspects of a good design are minimal turbulence at the MAF and a throat diameter thats the same as the stock intake as much as possible. However with that said a larger diameter can be used but the MAF curves have to be changed to compensate. A good example is the APS 70mm which, with some good tuning, will work very well. The Injen and APS both work as a bolt on with minimal issues but a tune really brings out the most from any mod. It did take me a while to iron out the intake calibrations for my APS when I started doing my own tuning.

I have the Injen CAI and it works just fine. I've also tried the AEM CAI and SPT SR and they work great also. Aslong as it's the same size as the stock one there should be no problems.

I've ran before with only one MAF Screw and I didn't throw any CEL's.

according to harman motive, the injen cai requires a retune while the aps 65mm/k&n/aem don't.
