top mount air splitter question

I am planning on running a aps or spearco top mount on my 07 sti with my 20g and meth aset up. I have searched here and elsewhere without luck. Does either of these intercoolers need a upgrade to the stock splitter to work better or fit properly? I found the process west has it's own splitter and was wondering if any aftermarket splitter is necessary. Anyone running either a aps or spearco your experience would be appreciated. thanks

The stock splitter works but you lose some surface area with it. Go to your nearest hardware store and get some garage door gasket and build your own. I did it and it works great.

thanks..i'll try that. Going to block island next month so unless your from there I should be the only sti!

Block Island...I used to live there. Great place and awesome people. Go to eat at the Beach Head on Corn Neck Road best burgers on the Island.
