Default just got on 04 sti wondering about engine management

hey everyonei just got and 04 sti a few months ago and have been getting used to the car and now its time to put some mods in. i was thinking about starting with engine management and a boost controller. all that is on the car now is an intake wat would be a good way to go with the engine managemnet? wat would be a safe psi to be running? i have read that 18.5 is the max the car can handle but i dont really know thanks for the input

start with a Cobb AP. If you can, remove the intake and go back to a stock intake. If you can't, then start thinking about a protune. A boost controller is a waste of money for you right now. Also, please don't adjust the boost on your own. That is something to be left to a tuner who understands the other parameters you need to change when you change boost.

Welcome to the boards, and think about reading the stickies in each section to get better acquainted with the sti.
