Pads are a must. The stockers will fade. Also, if you haven't replaced your brake fluid, do it be fore the race. Old brake fluid will gain water and lower its boiling point. Make sure you have fresh fluid for the race.

If you plan is a higher entry speed you will NEED good brakes. Frankly, most races are won on the corner exit. Your AWD system will let you put your power down sooner than him. I'd concentrate on getting the most out of your exits. Slow In, Fast Out.
i agree with every thing you said but dont forget the 911tt is also awd....

op did i miss something?? your setup is over $5000 how did you pull that off with only $2000???
just sign up to photobucket it's fast and easy...

Yup, i signed up for photobucket, pics are on the first post.

As for the money issue, this setup was quite a bit more than 2k. I came into some money but mostly I came into friends and they really helped me out. I got a lot of used parts, used up a lot of favors, and in general worked my butt off.

This site has been indeterminably helpful all throughout this process, thank you.

22psi and 417whp seem kind of conservative for a 35R.
Are you planning to turn it up a bit further, or add meth, or anything like that?

looking great man. congrats. you should contact a magazine like subie sport and have them write an article on this. maybe you'll get some $$ or sponsorship for new tires or something else.

good luck.

It is a daily driver, so I pumped it up to the point at which I felt comfortable beating the porsche, and being able to drive full time. Seem about right? I tried to find the porsche beating balance.

is there anything inherently wrong with using meth on the track for this little venture? enough of us around here meth our dd's.... it would definitely add to the power... not so much in the cornering ability...

nice pics. btw, you do realize that ppl can unswirl your plate and get the #? imho, if you want it to be secure, i would just use some editing software and erase the plate.

I painted stuff blue and sandblasted the red off to keep the whole engine in uniform with the perrin parts
