No street tire can beat race rubber. Get some R-Compounds.

Pads are a must. The stockers will fade. Also, if you haven't replaced your brake fluid, do it be fore the race. Old brake fluid will gain water and lower its boiling point. Make sure you have fresh fluid for the race.

If you plan is a higher entry speed you will NEED good brakes. Frankly, most races are won on the corner exit. Your AWD system will let you put your power down sooner than him. I'd concentrate on getting the most out of your exits. Slow In, Fast Out.

Also, the pads will definitely be replaced the day before.
alright? maybe. They are not going to be fun and they are not going to last more than a few hard laps. At the least get a very good street tire (re01r or re070) and run 17's. Bling doesn't matter on the track

The stock brakes are not going to last and if they do, you need a new driver. I would go with Pagid Yellows (or at the very least ferodo 2500), ss lines and new fluid. With all that extra power you have, you're going to want to know your brakes work when you go to stop for big bend at 130+ mph.

Have you gotten corner balanced? Have you gotten an alignment?

I would also suggest as much weight reduction as possible and if you can, switch back to 17" rims.

+1 to what a lot of people have been saying.
you'll need:
good alignment
good pads (ds2500 or 3000, Pagid Yellows ect.)
good fluid (super blue FTW)
take out EVERYTHING you can for weight
if you can use the 17' with like 255 R888 or RA1 that would be best
corner balancing would be good but take everything out before you start to balance
don't forget to check your oils (engine, trans, rear diff) too...

your biggest problems are going to be cornering and braking, lol it's not that much, so anything you can do to improve that do it.

and your going to need BALLS!

have fun

^^+1. tires are the most important upgrade you can make to the car and i hope you're looking into pads because you're going to fry the stockers.

I don't know about iphoto but in photobucket, you highlight the pic's url and when posting here, click the insert image icon and paste the url.
