Default Real time map and base map gain

So my car had been feeling a little slow to me...maybe I was just getting used to it, who knows. Anyway, my agile auto stage 2 tuned map has remained the base map on the car ever since the tune. I installed colder plugs recently, and it went to the dealer for some clock spring bulletin. The car just felt less responsive and less powerful. So I was thinking after all these recent times the battery had been disconnected plus me driving like a grandma around town (mainly because speeding tickets are bad and gas is ridiculous) that the ecu had learned some pretty soft driving habits. Instead of just unplugging the battery and then flooring it, I decided to load the Agile Auto stage 2 map on top of the base map as a real time map. Could be my mind playing tricks on me, but I swear the car feels and drives much better now. It's not like night and day or anything, but the butt dyno has definitely noticed an increase in throttle response and power up top. Before the flash, the car was still smooth as silk, but didn't throw me back like it used to. The torque didn't feel as present as I remembered. Now, it feels like I remember it! Maybe it was just bad gas before? Maybe the weather since it's been warmer and more humid? All I know is after I loaded it as a real time map over the same one as the base map, the car definitely feels faster, and it's noticeable. Keep in mind that since the tune, in preperation for my DOM II to go on, I have also installed a walbro pump, fmic, and now colder plugs. The pump and plugs shouldn't make a difference, but the fmic definitely can since it will negatively impact spool time (but seriously guys, I'm tuned for 20 lbs and it's not near as laggy as people say with the stock snail). Could the ecu have just grown used to me driving like an old lady until this?
