My suggestion is to tap the oil cap with a barbed fitting and run it (in conjuction with your other breather lines) to a catch can.

It's not similar at all to a lightened flywheel. It will just relieve more positive pressure in the case.
I had the catch can idea in my post but I deleted it, I would never just leave an open hole there. So should it be run to a catch can type deal (is oil going to come out) or should a filter be put on top (to catch contaminents and allow the air to exit)?

It isn't able to be measured in hp (from what I've gathered). It is kinda like doing lightweight rotational parts (d-train, flywheel, pulleys, etc.), it provides that extra "oomph" just from less stress.

Filters the worst way you can do it imo. I used to run a filter on my VW bug, but it end's up getting saturated and can't breathe anymore.

The best way is to run it to a catch can that has a vaccuum source. This way you're not only relieving some more crankcase pressure, you're actually sucking some of it out.

Could you add another tap to an A/O seperator and loop this in? Would that even be beneficial if possible (relieve enough pressure)? As you can tell Steve, this is not my element...

Yeah or you could just T that line into another line that was already running to the A/O seperator.
I like catch cans better though.

How the hell do you spell seperator?

I think you spelled it right. It looked goofy to me too when I typed it.

So, is this mod even worth the time?

$3 for a plastic T
$10 for a length of hose

My time = $13

I may try this if they have a JDM oil cap with a hole in it.

when you rev the engine with the oil cap off under no load, no pulses of air come out, however when it goes back to idling off boost it does.

why?

Cause you're increasing the vacuum in the inlet pipe faster than you are increasing crankcase pressure.

Trust me, when you're full boosting, you have a a lot more positive crank case pressure.
