Longblock reinstall ?

Having some issues getting my motor to mate with the transmission, I can line up all the bolts just cant get the two bottom studs to slip through all the way.

Im debating on removing the studs on the bottom of the block and reinstalling them once everything else is mated up, just wondering if anyone on here has done this?

YOu likely don't have the input shaft of the trans mated to the flywheel correctly. Try spinning the driveshaft a little back and forth while someone pushes/jiggles the engine towards the trans. Eventually the engine will slip towards the trans. When it does you will not be able to spin the driveshaft any more.
