| Junior STI Driver | Has anybody tried both a Perrin DW and Cobb catless Dp's? Which one performed the best? Any difference at all? This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |

| Junior STI Driver | See, this is exactly what I mean. There are so many more affordable options, but if that's the case, why do so many people spend more than double the cost of the Invidia to get a Cobb or Perrin. Is the Divorced Wastegate design a better performer, or does the Cobb have something built into it to flow exhaust gasses better? Hahaha, just trying to figure out the best "performing" option. |

Anyhow. the only difference is where the collection of gasses is...hahaha...The Cobb....from what i've seen collects all the gasses right out of the turbo once it gets to the piping it's off and out through the exhaust. With the Divorced setup the gasses from the turbo come out and from the wastegate. I guess the general idea is that gas contracts / constricts when it's cooled off. so the gas has cooled enough (3 inches from the outlet) that it'll better flow into the piping. Performance wise i dont think there is any difference but i'm a noobie and my car's still stock... I think some people pay for the name because they want the reputable companies to keep making stuff for the car. |
