IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | Alright guys so I want an Invidia catless downpipe mated to a Greddy Ti-C. Would the catless cause me to overboost or the 1 cat in the exhaust is sufficient to not overboost and yes I will be using Cobb's Accessport for stage 2. This ad is not endorsed by this member. IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2006 Trader Rating: (9) | ur post is confusing. U want a invidia catless downpipe. that means youd be deleting both cats in your downpipe. There are no cats in the cat back. so yes theres a chance you would overboost because your downpipe is "catless" meaning there is neither a 1st nor 2nd cat |

IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | are you sure you are talking about overboost(boost creep) or boost spike? im running catless with stage 2 and i dont usually get any creep. When its cold i will get a small spike in certain gears, which will settle to the correct boost level once the wastegate is fully open. |

IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | I thought there was only 1 cat in the downpipe? So theres 2? Oh sorry I didn't know. Any 07 guys running with no cats and not overboosting? |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2006 Trader Rating: (9) | Im pretty sure cobb said you should run a catted downpipe on the 07s because theres some problem with the ecu or something like that. So, id suggest running a catted downpipe for safety (and you wont get that nasty catless smell) |

IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | It was just the size of the restrictor pill and I could just change that out to the bigger one. But the prices of a catted downpipe are so much more than a catlesss thats why I'm debating whether or not I should do a catted one or not. |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2006 Trader Rating: (9) | well for what its worth i run catless on my 06 and i get some pretty massive boost spike up to 21 or 22 psi sometimes and it smells pretty bad and it makes loud popping noises. but i have a 06. Theres been many cases of 07s blowing their motors and personally I wouldn't take a chance with something like that. If you're certain catless is ok on the 07 then its purely personal preference. Are you a tree hugger? |

IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | Guess your right, I'm not a tree hugger though but I don't wanna overboost/shoot fireballs. I think I'll cough up the extra 200 bucks for a catted one thanks for the advice man. |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2006 Trader Rating: (9) | good choice. I think you'll be much happier in the long run. The smell is pretty bad and the fireballs although cool get old kinda fast. And some people base their decision purely on the environmental factor which is why i asked if you cared about smog/people driving behind you This ad is not endorsed by this member.
