| Grassroots STI Racer | Well I'm doing it again. I've decided to start modding my 07. I plan on going stg.2 to begin with, then possibly going bigger. So, this means I want a 3 inch exhaust, but nothing outrageous. I'm looking for an exhaust that's not LOUD, but not a baby either. This means no Blitz or anything of that sort. I need to have at least 1 cat since MA sucks for stickers. I also need it kinda quiet due to where I live and the hours I work, so......is there a system out there that sounds right??? Ohh and forgot I'd like it to be single tip. Any thoughts? Also I've looked for that list of exhaust clips but couldn't find it, if any knows where it is, could you shoot it my way. Thank in advance guys!! This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |

| Grassroots STI Racer | I had Bosal DP with the Bosal cat-back and it was nice, but a little to quiet. I liked it at WOT, but looking for something louder....not a hey cop here I am, but just enough. My first thought was Cobb or something similar. |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2005 Trader Rating: (4) | Stromung catted turboback should work well for you. Very similar to the Cobb turboback except the DP is a divorced wastegate and the Cobb is a bellmouth. I cannot comment on the difference in sound between the two but I'm sure someone will chime in. |

| Grassroots STI Racer | I really like the divorced downpipes more than bell mouth so maybe I'll go that route too! The tanabe I was also considering, but looks louder than what I may want. Does the Tanabe have at least 1 cat?? |

| Silver Member | I went with an Invidia catted DP, with a Stromung 3" catback. It's perfect for me, full 3" it's fairly quiet so the neighbors don't get cranky, and has a nice deep growl during more spirited driving. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | Your criteria sounds like mine, minus the need for a cat. I settled on the Cobb catless TBE and installed it on Thursday. It's just what I was looking for: Factory clean looks tucked up nicely, and throaty but not too loud or obnoxious. Fit and finish is top notch and so far I'm very happy with the sound. My only complaint is the 2.5 taper at the DP. According to Cobb it doesn't adversly affect HP at Stage 2. On a side note my friend's catless Invidia TBE sounds great, but is much louder. Good luck with your search. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2006 Trader Rating: (1) | Stromung catted turboback should work well for you Stromung makes the Maddad divorced TBE. Sounds very nice in my opinion, not too loud at idle or cruise but sounds great when you're driving aggressively. Real quality product too. |

IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | I would say a catted dp off any brand and a maddad 3" whisper is what you need. This one is quieter and sounds better than the Borla Hush and is more sleeper looking than the Evo2. Maddad FTW! |

| Grassroots STI Racer | Ahhhh the choices. I'll narrow it down between today and tomorrow. Hopefully I can pick the right one!! Right now it's between the Cobb,Tanabe, and Stromung. |

I can vouche for this exhaust, sounded sexy last time I heard it. The tanabe medallion is also a stock looking quiet exhaust. I would get one of those exhaust with a invidia catted downpipe. | |
