Default Engine shuts dwn at 5,000 rpm.??help?

Well,
My 2004 STi is lightly modded, original owner, 123,300 miles. In short, my car ran great after Chris/RFI Logics did a protune about 6 months ago. 260whp on the Mustang Dyno thru a 4 inch dp into the stock catback. Mods are Cobb main pulley, APS CAI, APS twin BOV, Access Port, ACT lighter FW, beefier Exedy clutch. Gimmick Turbo inlet hose.

I had the dealer install a more effiecient silicone turbo inlet hose, clutch and lighter flywheel. Car runs strong up to 5,000 rpm and then cuts out. I feel like it may be the new turbo inlet hose thats the issue. Chris/RFI has not responded to any of my requests for help thru emails from here and my hotmail account. The subaru dealer said contact the tuner. Guess he is too bzy or whatever..

My computer died at home so I may be slow responding etc..

Ideas please.. Or Anyone know a phone number for Chris?
Thanks,
Todd

Chect the installation that the dealer did, also in what gear does this happens.

Sounds like a fuel cut. Are you over boosting??

It's not fuel cut, I 100% guarantee it's the turbo inlet collapsing. You can verify this but running live data on the AP and watch the MAf g/s reading. If I'm right, it will drop a lot once you go over 5k

yea might be that buttt theres no way its gimmick, or perrin (OK im sure theres a few cases...) those are both really good inlets. Atleast i have the gimmick one and it works wonders.
my 2 bits.

edit: also, i would think that that hp you made wouldnt cause that... from what i read, i think you would need much higher hp for that to be an issue but once again we dont know what brand you bought, could be ebay for all we know.

my gimmick collapsed and did the same thing. I fixed it by putting a hose clamp around the middle part of the inlet. It's on the part you can see between the y part on the red intake manifold.

Here's a pic

well im saying on my part because i have a gimmick inlet mine hasnt collapsed and i would know if it did. This person above me says his did to (hitman83) so maybe thats it. These inlets are like 8plys i think and compared to perrins unit they are tougher. Theres a few bigger turbo stis that are running big hp with the 3inch version with no problems. Doesnt make to much sense to me.

I'm not having any issues with my 2.4" Gimmick inlet.
